Women's Empowerment
We support vulnerable women, particularly widows and women affected by poverty, conflict and displacement, to strengthen their economic independence and participation in community life.

South Sudan
We walk alongside vulnerable women, children and communities in South Sudan, creating opportunities for education, economic independence, resilience, dignity and hope.
Compassion Initiative, South Sudan is an indigenous South Sudanese organisation committed to raising hope among vulnerable people, restoring dignity and empowering communities to build better and more sustainable lives.
We understand the realities faced by communities affected by poverty, conflict, displacement, hunger, disasters and limited economic opportunities.
Our work seeks not only to respond to immediate needs, but also to help people rebuild livelihoods, strengthen resilience and become active participants in shaping their own future.
“We do not see vulnerable people simply as recipients of assistance. We see individuals with gifts, knowledge, abilities and potential.”

At Compassion Initiative, South Sudan, we believe that every person deserves to live with dignity, hope and the opportunity to build a better future.
Our communities face many challenges, but we also see courage, resilience and enormous potential. We therefore seek to walk alongside vulnerable women, children and families—not simply providing assistance, but helping people develop the skills, opportunities and confidence they need to shape their own future.
Through women's economic empowerment, education support, community development and humanitarian response, we are committed to turning compassion into practical action.
We welcome partners, friends and supporters who share our belief that meaningful change begins when we stand together with communities and listen to what they need.
Our programmes respond to immediate needs while building the foundations for longer-term resilience, self-reliance and opportunity.
We support vulnerable women, particularly widows and women affected by poverty, conflict and displacement, to strengthen their economic independence and participation in community life.
We organise women into savings groups and support access to small loans and resources that can help members begin or strengthen income-generating activities.
We provide practical support in financial management, savings, entrepreneurship, small business development and community leadership.
We work with communities to identify local priorities, strengthen resilience and develop practical solutions that respond to their needs and aspirations.
We support vulnerable children through learning materials, teacher support, temporary learning spaces and mobilisation of resources for simple classrooms.
We stand alongside communities affected by disasters, displacement, hunger and other emergencies through appropriate humanitarian and relief support.
Some children in South Sudan are currently studying under trees because their communities do not have adequate classrooms. Compassion Initiative is working to help change this reality.
Our education projects focus on practical support that can make learning safer, more accessible and more meaningful for vulnerable children.

We believe women should not only receive assistance. They should have opportunities to rebuild their lives, support their families and become economically independent.
Through savings groups, micro-loans, skills development and compassionate community support, women are gaining confidence, learning to manage resources collectively and becoming active contributors to their families and communities.
Our goal is not simply to provide temporary assistance. We want women to have the confidence, skills, resources and opportunities to shape a more secure future for themselves and their families.

When disaster and displacement threaten people's ability to meet their basic needs, we seek to respond with dignity and compassion.
Communities in South Sudan can face severe challenges caused by conflict, displacement, flooding, drought, hunger and other disasters.
Compassion Initiative seeks to provide appropriate relief support while connecting emergency assistance with longer-term recovery, resilience and community empowerment.
